Lache Lane in Chester has been closed and two people have been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash this morning (Wednesday, October 7).

The collision was reported at 8.26am and the North West Air Ambulance is in attendance.

One casualty is reported to have been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital while a second person has been taken to Aintree.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had to free one person trapped in their vehicle, while a third patient was dealt with at the road side.

Cheshire Police said the road has been shut until further notice, with no access from the A483 Wrexham Road.
