Pupils from Acresfield Primary School in  Upton had their five minutes of fame today as they performed a nativity scene on live television.

The 15 lucky youngsters were charged with  retelling Mary and Joseph’s visit to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus on ITV’s flagship daytime programme This Morning.

The tea towel-clad cast charmed presenters  Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield with a  rendition of the carol Little Donkey .

Acresfield was one of five schools selected to  recreate the greatest story ever told across five  days, after being nominated by a parent.

The youngsters travelled down to London on Tuesday, December 17 in preparation for their star turn.
