Traffic is easing on the Parkgate Road at Two Mills following an earlier accident.
The collision, involving a Ford Focus and a Peugeot, happened just before 7.40am today (Thursday, February 11) at the junction of the A540 Parkgate Road and Capenhurst Lane.
Travel website Inrix reported one of the vehicles was on its roof near the Yacht Inn.
Parkgate Road was closed in both directions for a short time during the busy rush-hour period but the accident has now been cleared and the road is fully reopen.
Cheshire Police said one person had been trapped in their vehicle. Paramedics had attended. A male suffered minor injuries. A lamp post has also been damaged.
