ABBEY Gate College celebrated success at its annual speech day.
Special guest playwright Tim Firth joined students and staff at Chester Racecourse for the prize giving ceremony which awards the achievements of pupils for academic, sporting and musical excellence, services to the college, kindness and good intent.
Headmistress Lynne Horner said: “We are proud of the success of all our young people and aim to help them become confident and responsible citizens in the wider world.”
Tim Firth’s works include Calendar Girls and The Flint Street Nativity.
