A motorbike rider was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg after a crash on the A56.

His silver Honda bike collided with a silver Alfa Romeo in Mickle Trafford on Monday, April 25.

Emergency services were called to the scene near the Shrewsbury Arms pub at about 6.45pm.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a silver Alfa Romeo and a silver Honda motorbike on the A56 at Mickle Trafford.

"The collision had occurred near to the junction of the Warrington Road, near to the Shrewsbury Arms.

"Officers from Cheshire Police attended the scene and the rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital. He is believed to have suffered a broken leg."

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 646 of April 25.
