A51 reopens following serious collision in Littleton

Police are appealing for information about the incident on Wednesday morning

A serious collision near Chester Rugby Club closed the A51 Tarvin Road between the A55 roundabout at Littleton and the Tarvin roundabout on Wednesday morning (April 20).

Emergency services were called to the scene at 8.45am.

A spokesman for Cheshire police said the incident involved a black Honda motorcycle and a grey Volkswagen Transporter.

The A51 reopened shortly before 10am, but motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys as there are still traffic delays in the area.

Anyone with any information in relation to the collision is asked to contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident number 145 of April 20, 2016.
