Students at Neston High School woke up to another stunning set of examination results.

The school recorded another year of 100% pass rate at A level and with an increase in the total points and points per entry on previous years’ results.

Neston High School student Anna Fitzpatrick gained two A*s and an A and is going to study at Oxford University

Head teacher Steve Dool said: “A significant number of students have achieved a total results score in excess of 1000 points, 220 grades achieved the gold standard of grades A* to B.

“A very good year for our students which reflects the hard work put in by students and their teachers not forgetting the unwavering support of their parents.”

He added: “We are proud of the well above national average number of our students who follow the more academic ‘facilitating A levels’ as recommended by the prestigious Russell Group of Universities.

“We are equally proud of the 30 students who achieved a Distinction* in their vocational courses, the highest grade possible.

“They all deserve our warmest congratulations.”
