‘Exceptional’ was the word at Helsby High School on A-levels results day.

Students and staff were celebrating another successful year, as a majority of students are all set to take up their place at their first choice university.

Provisional analysis shows 51% of all grades being at A* to B and 80% of grades being at A* to C.

In total 15 students achieved a highly impressive 3 or more A* and A grades.

Just as impressive was the overall pass rate at A* to E of 98%.

Helsby High School wished congratulations to all their students who have worked so hard to achieve such an ‘exceptional’ set of results.

Headteacher John Dowler praised the hard work and commitment of students and staff and said the school was ‘very proud’ of the continuing success in sixth form.

He said: “It is not only a tribute to their talents and dedication, but also reflects the commitment of staff and the strong home school partnerships that we enjoy.

“We are delighted to note that many students have achieved outstanding individual results.

“We wish all our young people well in the future. ”
