STUDENTS who need advice after getting their results can turn to the Chronicle for help today.
There will be two live A-level results Q&A blog sessions with UCAS adviser Beth Hayes live from noon-1pm then again from 6-7pm.
Both students and parents are welcome to log on and ask questions as universities across the country warn vacancies are now scarce.
The University of Chester is among a number of universities that are closing their doors, saying it was ‘unlikely’ it would take part in clearing.
This is Beth’s ninth year of clearing since she joined UCAS and she’ll do her best to answer all questions about university and the clearing process.
Beth, from Cheltenham, went to the University of Gloucestershire, where she gained a 2:1 in English and psychology. Her A-level subjects were English, art and design, French and general studies.
The chats will be fully interactive with students and parents being able to put their questions to Beth and see some of the topics other people are raising.
Busy university hopefuls can also turn to technology for help thanks to the UCAS Connect mobile phone app, which is free to download and available for Android, Apple and Nokia phones.
The app provides top tips, frequently asked questions and video guides, as well as access to an interactive search tool.
Installing Connect on your phone also gives access to the UCAS Twitter account and Facebook page, where real-time answers will be posted.
