Mecca Chester employees have raised £540 for Carers Trust by climbing Mount Snowdon, eclipsing their £500 goal.

The 24/7 initiative aims to raise much-needed funds for carers who offer unpaid care for a friend or family member who could not cope without their support.

Last month, employees from Mecca Chester climbed Mount Snowdon to raise funds for carers across the UK and are still accepting donations for Carers Trust in-club.

These events follow the launch of Rank’s charity partnership with Carers Trust in February, which saw all 97 Mecca clubs partaking in fundraising activities including raffles, lucky dips, karaoke and competitions. “As part of the Northwest’s 24/7 challenge, our team came together to conquer Mount Snowdon and we are thrilled at the response and support we got, but we would love to raise more for UK carers,” said Mecca Chester general manager Bernie Dullaghan.
