AN IT firm has teamed up with its partners to host a free lunchtime event for the region’s business community at Chester Racecourse.

The Lunch and Learn session, run by Llay-based MWL Systems, will focus on three key ingredients necessary for running a successful company – cost efficiency, internet security and disaster recovery.

The aim of the workshop-style event on March 20 is to discuss the benefits of the latest IT systems and how they can be most effectively harnessed.

MWL director Matthew Kingsley-Williams said: “We are delighted to be hosting this event as it is designed to bring together the expertise and experience of some of our key partners, who are the biggest names in IT, to benefit local and regional businesses.

“Using Chester Racecourse as a venue is fantastic as it offers great hospitality and excellent access, right in the heart of Chester.”

Experts from technology giant Dell will be on hand to demonstrate the power-saving and green credentials of the latest-generation servers, showing how they can be easily deployed and managed in a variety of businesses for better cost efficiency and effectiveness.

Internet monitoring firm Cyberoam will also show how new developments can help employers take more control over their internet use while also improving overall productivity and enhancing network security.

And representatives from Veeam will talk about how important it is for businesses to have a robust strategy for data back-up and security.

“Everyone wants to know how to save money and be more efficient,” said Mr Kingsley-Williams. “So the theme of this event should reach out to a lot of businesses in the area, helping them be the best in their field in today’s competitive environment.”
