Chester diners and revellers can look forward to the arrival of a new Mediterranean style pizza restaurant and bar just in time for the party season.
Urbano32 is the brainchild of Ian Wade, the award-winning owner of The Ring O Bells in Christleton, and officially opens its doors on Bridge Street on Friday, November 21.
The venture is described as ‘restaurant, bar and social meeting place’ and will be a welcome addition to the city centre dining scene for those seeking quality, rustic food served in a vibrant atmosphere until 11.30pm at weekends.
The funky bar area is set to stay open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, serving an extensive range of boutique beers and specially-sourced wine and cocktails.
Classic Mediterranean starters including pork meatballs and garden pea brushetta can wake up your taste buds before you choose from one of the made-to-order sourdough pizzas, cooked in the huge handmade clay oven that dominates the centre of the restaurant.
Pizza toppings range from pepperoni, chorizo and mozzarella to clams, garlic, thyme and tomato - with lots of other options in-between.
Urbano32 will be open from 8am serving tea, coffee and brunch. Its relaxed morning ambience will appeal to everyone from shoppers to those wanting to meet for an early business meeting with access to free WiFi.
The bespoke interior has been designed to reflect Urbano32’s commitment to relaxed, rustic group dining, with a semi-industrial decor including test tube lights hanging next to exposed brick walls. The unique toilets are certainly worth a visit!
Ian said: “Urbano32 will have the same family friendly policy as the Ring O’ Bells during the day and early evening - a great children’s menu, colouring in at the table, high chairs, etc.
“In the evening, I think the fact that we’ll be serving high-quality food until 11.30pm, with the opportunity to stay on and enjoy our fantastic range of drinks until 1am will make us stand out from the crowd.
“This will all add up to making Urbano32 a unique restaurant, bar and social meeting place.”
