THIS year, for the first time, the judges created a special award, the Trinity Mirror Cheshire Judges’ Choice Award, for a company which they thought had particular merit.
The Blueleaf creative agency, of Spurstow, had narrowly missed winning the trophy in each of the three categories it entered in this year’s awards, and the judges felt that the company deserved a special award.
Carl Wood, chairman of the independent judging panel, said: “The entries submitted by this company were outstanding and very professional.
“This company has shown considerable growth and development through its inspirational leadership, great team spirit, clear focus and determination. Also short-listed in three categories, the judges and I felt they were worthy winners of the Judges’ Choice Award.”
Blueleaf was established by Adrian Lomas in 1999 in the back bedroom of his home. It has grown to a team of 12 staff and is now based in a converted barn in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
Blueleaf clients include Laura Ashley, Next, Debenhams, Bhs, the BBC and British Cycling.
Adrian said: “We are really delighted to have won this special award.”
