Kickboxer Russ Williams is motoring on thanks to a big sponsorship deal.
Since he started in the sports of Thai and kickboxing as a youngster Russ always dreamed about one day being sponsored by a big company.
Russ’ dream came true when a sponsorship deal was arranged with Matt Hine, sales director with Mercedes-Benz, Chester.
Matt helped Russ with the deal as he knew what Russ does for the area helping victims of abuse and bullying and helping people to control their aggression.
Russ also travels teaching to different countries and was in Ukraine to teach orphans and others before the recent troubles started there.
Russ was thrilled to receive the new Mercedes model GLA as part of the deal to use for travelling between his gyms in Wrexham and Caerwys and also for travelling the UK, doing courses and taking his fighters to compete.
Russ was the first person to learn, fight, teach and promote the arts of Thai and kickboxing.
He is a former four times World Champion and undisputed World Super Bantamweight Kickboxing Champion.
Russ is also the chief instructor of the Welsh Thai and Kickboxing Association and has helped set up clubs throughout the North Wales/Cheshire areas.
Russ is now starting beginner courses at his gyms in Abbot Street Wrexham and on the Square in Caerwys.
