Law firm Aaron & Partners LLP, which has offices in Chester, Shrewsbury and Manchester, has appointed a new corporate partner, Hugh Strickland.
Hugh, who joins the company after more than 12 years at Geldards in Nottingham, specialises in dealing with corporate finance and banking.
Hugh has worked on more than 100 pharmacy transactions, led bank panel relationships and headed the Geldards banking team. He has also led cross-border transactions spanning North America, India and Europe.
Hugh, who lives near Market Drayton with his wife and three children, was born with hereditary deafness, a condition that runs through his family. He is very involved in fundraising for deaf awareness and in 2013 he ran the London Marathon for Action on Hearing Loss, as well as the Market Drayton 10k and Newport 10k in 2014.
Hugh said: “I’m so pleased to be joining Aaron & Partners. I actually did my work experience here after finishing my degree in engineering at Exeter University, which was a key influence in my decision to become a lawyer.”
