Commercial lawyer Alex Mason has been appointed at a Chester law firm.

In her new post as a corporate solicitor at Walker Smith Way Legal, she will focus on a wide aspect of commercial work from corporate business services, including acquisitions and disposals and corporate governance.

She will also provide services to SMEs and start-ups as well as giving general commercial advice.

She said: “I am extremely excited to have joined Walker Smith Way Legal, especially following its recent successful re-branding and its reputation as a highly respected firm.”

“The commercial team here is busy, and it is a great time to become a part of the team in such an increasingly buoyant market.

“I am looking forward to my future here, and it will be wonderful to be working closer to home and my family.”

Alex, 33, is based at Walker Smith Way Legal’s Chester office in Nicholas Street and is part of the business services team, headed by Huw Davies.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Alex to the firm.”

“This is an important appointment which continues the growth of our business and commercial services offering, and expands our services to commercial clients.”

Alex qualified as a solicitor in September 2006, and having completed her training in Liverpool, continued working in the city in the corporate team at a large commercial firm for seven years.

In her spare time, Alex enjoys cookery, eating out and she has a passion for travel.

The most far flung destinations she has visited include Hong Kong, where she had a honeymoon five years ago, and Australia.

Alex and her husband Raury, also a solicitor, lives in Newton, Chester, with their two daughters, Daphne, three, and Eleanor, six months.
