A LUXURY car showroom in Ellesmere Port has been signed up as a lead sponsor of the Liverpool Marathon.
The new RunLiverpool Marathon has signed up Porsche Centre Chester as its official vehicle partner.
The race takes place on October 9 – the same day as the MBNA Chester Marathon.
Officially known as Porsche Centre Chester, the dealership is actually in Longlooms Road, Little Stanney.
The 26.2-mile road race takes place in October and organisers say this deal is testament to the status of the event.
Adrian Kermode, managing director of the showroom, said: “Porsche Centre Chester is delighted to be involved with and support an international sporting event of this calibre – we look forward to working with the marathon team over the coming months as strategic partners.”
On the day itself a new Porsche model will be used as the official marathon lead vehicle to guide a field of more than 12,000 regional, national and international runners on their way.
