THE office that will manage the 5,800 council homes in Ellesmere Port and Neston officially opened on Friday.

Plus Dane won the contract to manage the housing services for 15,000 tenants and the repairs and maintenance service for about 5,800 homes earlier this year.

Ellesmere Port mayor Pat Merrick officially opened the office in Ellesmere Port on Friday.

It is now the new housing office for the area and 60 of the 180 staff to have transferred to Plus Dane from the council as part of the contract.

Cllr Merrick was joined by Ellesmere Port and Neston MP Andrew Miller and Cllr Herbert Manley to mark the opening of the office.
