I look forward to using my experience to support Muir and its staff, and help the association achieve its goals.

“I love working in the housing sector. I believe that everyone has the fundamental right to have somewhere they feel safe – somewhere to call home. I enjoy working in a sector that makes a difference to people’s lives. I’m very proud to work in housing and I’m pleased to join an organisation which shares these values.”

Catherine Dixson, chief executive at Muir, said: “It’s great to have Julie on board – she brings with her a wealth of experience that will prove to be invaluable as we look to grow and enhance the association.

“This role requires a dynamic and innovative individual – qualities which Julie has in abundance.
