Mitchells of Chester Guest House on Hough Green are celebrating a second round of top awards from the hospitality industry.
Eighteen months ago a refurbishment programme was carried out with major improvements to the guesthouse.
In July last year, an assessor from the AA gave them a covert overnight inspection. To their delight they were awarded a five-star guest accommodation grading, a Gold Award and, to put the icing on the cake, a Breakfast Award was granted.
This meant they had scored over 90% guest experience from the inspector driving into the car park, right through to him checking out the following morning.
Now, Visit England tourist board have also made a covert overnight inspection and have confirmed the AA’s assessment on all counts. These are the highest accolades that the hospitality industry can bestow and is the culmination of many years of dedicated improvement to be the best.
