A new head chef has been appointed at Chester’s historic Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel.

Scott Graham, 27, has taken over the helm at the 1650 St Johns Restaurant.

Scott started learning his trade at the age of 15 at the Springfield Hotel in Pentre Halkyn, Flintshire. He went onto develop his culinary skills and experience at a number of quality hotels and restaurants including The White House in Rhuallt, Denbighshire and The Quay Hotel & Spa in Deganwy, Conwy.

Scott said: “Cooking is my life and passion, so I’m delighted to take up the mantle at the Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel and I look forward to inspiring our guests, visitors and Chester locals.

“We have great plans for the future and we’re already designing next season’s menu featuring local produce from some of the best food producers in the UK. In particular, the new menu will feature one of my personal favourites – slow roasted stuffed belly pork.”
