DTM Legal, one of the North West’s leading commercial law firms, has celebrated its fourth birthday with a champagne reception at Chester Racecourse.

The event attracted more than 300 of the region’s leading business people.

The firm is celebrating another strong year which has also seen it break into The Legal 500, an internationally recognised list of top law firms in the UK and abroad.

The Legal 500 entry noted DTM Legal as having a ‘growing reputation’, and gave glowing recommendations for three of the firm’s corporate partners.

Other highlights over the last year have included the addition of new staff to the DTM team, strengthening the corporate, employment and litigation teams respectively.

Jim Morris, a partner at DTM Legal, said: “It’s been another good year in a challenging environment. The firm has reacted well and, while continuing to look after its existing clients, has attracted 361 new clients, opened 1,185 new files and dealt with land and corporate transactions exceeding £75m in value.

“Law firms need to be flexible and reflect their clients’ needs; this is something we have tried to do since we launched four years ago so it’s great to be recognised for the work we have done.”

DTM Legal launched in 2008 in perhaps the most challenging economic conditions in recent history but quickly doubled in size.

Partner Anna Duffy said: “We have marked our fourth anniversary with a party as a way of saying a big thank you to the clients who have helped the business grow so positively over the last few years.”
