ANDY Halstead and his son Jordan have found business success runs in the family.
Their Chester-based firms have created 45 new jobs in the city and now they have plans to continue to deliver growth, market-leading propositions for their customers and additional jobs and career opportunities for local people.
Between them they have three businesses.
Jordan & Halstead Properties and Rent on Time are based at their high street office in Grosvenor Street.
During the last month, the offices have been completely refurbished by local contractors A&S.
Since 1992, Jordan & Halstead Properties have been letting and managing residential properties and the business was acquired by Andy and Jordan in 2007, managing more than 400 properties in the city.
They are now making their first ever venture into residential property sales.
Jordan said: “Through a combination of meeting the right person and ever improving market conditions for property sales, we have decided to enter the estate agency market.”
John Fairclough, who previously managed property sales for TC Adams in Chester, has recently joined the J&H team.
Jordan added: “We are seriously excited about our new property sales proposition and we intend to offer our customers a fantastic service that takes the stress out of selling homes and investment properties.”
Rent on Time is a fast-growing business that offers landlords across the UK a unique proposition that combines rent collection services with a guarantee that rents will always be paid to the landlord on time, no matter when the tenant actually pays the rent.
The business is led by David McNeil, a Chester resident who worked in the lettings business for the last five years.
David said: “It’s great to be growing a business in Chester that serves landlords in all regions of the UK, I can’t think of a better place to work and it’s satisfying to grow a local business.”
Let Alliance is based at Bell Meadow in Pulford, a business that supports about 800 letting agents in all regions of the UK.
Let Alliance specialises in tenant referencing and rent guarantee insurance and works with letting agents of all sizes, from nationals to small local family firms.
During last year, 30 new jobs have been created at Let Alliance and Andy is very proud of his team.
Andy said: “Let Alliance is a vibrant business made up by a group of exceptional people who deliver a world class service.”
The majority of Jordan’s time is spent Woking with Oliver Keeble, branch manager of J&H lettings, David McNeil, business development director at Rent on Time and John Fairclough, branch manager of J&H Property Sales, while Andy has a real focus on growing and developing the Let Alliance business.
Andy said: “2014 is a very exciting year ahead and we plan to welcome additional team members throughout.”
