Ellesmere Port-based Engage Web, an internet marketing company at the vanguard of ethical search engine optimisation and with clients based all over the world, is celebrating its fifth birthday this month with a number of special events.

To mark the occasion, the firm is calling upon its social network followers to get involved in a brand new competition to be launched on the company’s website this week, which has been especially themed for the occasion.

Engage Web is including it’s team in the celebration by treating them to a delicious birthday cake decorated with its eye-catching purple and white logo.

Managing director Lianne Wilkinson is one of the founders and owners of Engage Web, a Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Award finalist. She said: “For our fifth birthday we wanted to do something memorable. What better way to celebrate than with a special cake? We also decided to run a competition on Facebook and Twitter to reach out and thank everyone for making the last five years possible.

“Since we founded the company in 2009 and underwent a major rebrand in 2012, Engage Web has added specialists from various fields and disciplines to its team, and has really gone from strength to strength.

“Being online marketing specialists, our own success means that our clients gain broader, more valuable exposure online, which then converts into increased sales and growth.”

Engage Web’s technical director and co-owner, Darren Jamieson, added: “The competition we’re launching is birthday-themed and picture-based. We’re asking all of our followers on Twitter and Facebook to get involved.

“We have run competitions before; the one we did at the Travel Technology Europe exhibition in January this year saw attendees taking part in a travel-themed quiz built by our in-house technical team. The competition was tough!”
