CHESTER-BASED design and marketing agency, Entyce, is again running its annual competition to find new creative flair.
The competition was created to raise the profile of design in the North West by highlighting opportunities to employers and students. It is a competition that rewards gifted students for their work in the creative sector.
Entyce has found that after finishing their degrees in Cheshire, many graduates move to London in search of work within the creative industry.
The Entyce Design Competition is geared towards promoting the talent of Cheshire students studying higher education and seeks to demonstrate the value of the northern design industry.
The competition started just two years ago, in which time it has grown to receive hundreds of entries of a very high standard. This year Entyce has teamed up with Cheshire Farm Ice Cream.
The competition enables students studying graphic design, advertising, photography, web design and media studies the opportunity to work within a design agency on a real-life project.
Jane Entwistle, creative director of Entyce, said: “This is a fantastic chance for students to get their designs seen by a local design agency and, of course, by the client as well. The winning student will be offered a work placement at our Chester-based studio. Last year’s winner, Thom Yates, of Chester University, completed a three-week work placement in our Chester studio which provided him with a great start to his career.”
Students are encouraged to use their imagination and submit creative designs through the website.
