COLLEAGUES and residents retained the highest level accreditation for the Chester and District Housing Trust from the National Centre of Diversity by demonstrating their continued dedication to ensuring the best possible service to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Employment initiatives for the long-term unemployed and ex-offenders and providing support for vulnerable and homeless people across Cheshire West are among the ground-breaking schemes which enabled the trust to retain the highest level accreditation from Investors in Diversity.

Forty-two colleagues and residents from Chester and District Housing Trust took part in a two-day interview process with the Investors in Diversity assessment team. The trust has retained the Level 2 accreditation until February 2015.

Trust diversity champion Phil Gilbert said: “This is great news for the trust, so thanks again to all those involved for their hard work and to all colleagues for their continued dedication to ensuring we provide the best possible service to our diverse range of residents, colleagues and stakeholders.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those colleagues who contributed to this achievement; those who worked with me to co-ordinate the process and those who kindly attended the interviews with the assessor.”

Solat Chaudhry, chief executive of Investors in Diversity, said: “I would like to congratulate you, your staff and your stakeholders on the successful re-achievement of the Investors in Diversity standard.

“We are delighted that you have been able to meet the requirements.”
