A Chester-based PR agency has been appointed to handle a global PR brief for EA Technology – a provider of power asset management products and services.

De Winter PR will run a PR programme focused on raising the profile of EA Technology and helping to drive an increase in sales and overall market share in the UK, with a view to help the company establish a European presence in 2014.

Managing the account will be a four-strong team from de Winter’s B2B division, who specialise in the energy and innovations sector.

This team will also implement a targeted regional PR plan for the Capenhurst-based firm alongside its national and global brief.

Recently placed second in a survey of the North West’s Top 300 SMEs compiled by North West Business Insider, the power-engineering firm provides high-tech instruments, asset management services and technical consultancy for clients in sectors including electricity, utilities, petrochemical and infrastructure.

De Winter’s PR managing director, Kate Cox, said: “EA Technology is an innovative and forward-thinking organisation that we have always aspired to work with, particularly given our experience in the energy sector.

“We have developed a unique client base and our B2B team continues to expand.

“We’re very excited to be working alongside them and supporting their marketing and commercial objectives at a time of real growth.”

De Winter is also the retained PR agency for the Customer-Led Network Revolution project – a UK smart grid project involving EA Technology, Northern Powergrid, British Gas, Newcastle University and Durham University.

With offices in Chester and Manchester, de Winter has witnessed significant growth in recent years.

PR Week recently included de Winter in its list of the top 40 agencies outside of London as well as its top 40 tech agencies, while Prolific North placed de Winter as the ninth best agency in the North of England.
