A TARVIN business is enjoying a profitable new year after swapping the high street for the Cheshire countryside.

Having moved from the village to barnhouse premises in Stapleford, No 77 Interiors, a family firm run by sisters Georgina and Joanna Kinsey, wanted to expand and the new rural location has led to a rise in sales.

Former Abbey Gate School pupils Georgina, 27, and Joanna, 30, sell unusual, individual items from all over Europe and the UK and offer lines in home furnishings, fashion accessories and gifts.

“We are really pleased,” said Georgina. “We wanted to expand and now we have bigger premises with parking, a showroom that people can visit and perhaps most importantly space to increase our online sales activity.

“We have got lots of storage here and since moving, sales are already up on last year and our online venture is growing all the time.”

They plan to return to Paris where they recently sourced a very popular range of dressers, tables lamps and mirrors.

“Our customers can expect to buy something that is completely different,” said Georgina. “We offer something that your next door neighbour won’t have.

“People seem to love what we stock and it is the fact that our ranges are very different that brings in the customers.

“We will also welcome every customer with a fresh cup of tea or coffee when they arrive.”
