A young woman from Chester, who was the youth representative of a city church, has landed a job as a social media apprentice.

Jessyca Baker, 21, raised more than £800 for Diabetes UK earlier this year when she was young person’s representative for St Thomas of Canterbury Church in the Garden Quarter.

Digital music platform EverMix has now selected Jessyca as their social media apprentice through The Juice Academy programme.

She will be training concurrently at The Juice Academy while working at Evermix, where she will play a vital role in social media and digital strategy, bringing to life the lessons learnt from the training programme.

During her training, Jessyca will receive a salary and gain a level 3 City & Guilds qualification in digital and social media.
