CHESTER’S Territorial Army C Squadron, the Royal Mercian and Lancastrian, is opening its doors to prospective new recruits this weekend in a move to showcase employment opportunities with the TA.
The open day events are part of an extensive recruitment campaign this month to encourage new recruits.
C Squadron, The Royal Mercian and Lancastrian, is one of more than 100 TA units to host open days and recruitment events across the UK.
The open days will take place over the next two weekends from 10am-4pm at the Fox Barracks, Liverpool Road, Moston.
People at the open events will be able to see and try out the kit and weaponry for themselves, and find out more from the soldiers present.
Colonel Kevin Halus, Colonel TA Recruiting, said: “We think this is a great way to demonstrate and educate people about the opportunities available with the TA and its contribution to the defence and security of the nation.
