Knights professional services has seen a period of exceptional growth in Chester, with more than 41 professionals joining the office since 2014, more than quadrupling its workforce.

Attracting the best professionals from across the North West has enabled Knights’ Chester team to work with major new clients, such as Henry Boot, American Golf, Legat Owen and the Hawarden Estate and in particular has strengthened its corporate, M&A and real estate offering as well as expanding its work in the education and health and social care sectors.

Knights’ Chester real estate team has acted on 11 sites that have been acquired or let to tenants and exchanged contracts on a further six sites on behalf of national retailer, Aldi.

The family team has recently won a high-profile international child abduction case at the Court of Appeal.

Following the recent acquisition of Darbys Solicitors, Knights has expanded its locations in the North West and now has an additional office in Hale. Listed as one of the fastest-growing professional services firm in the UK, Knights continues to strengthen its offering to Manchester and Lancashire clients.

Chester office leader Sally Wightman says this success is down to investment in the right high calibre professionals and building long-standing relationships with clients.

“It has been a really exciting time for the Chester team and notwithstanding our recent rapid growth we have an ambitious growth plan for the next 12 months which is well under way with at least six additional partners and professionals joining us over the next few months,” she said.

“Now boasting a team of more than 50, offering full service commercial legal expertise together with expertise in landed estates, private client, residential conveyancing and family, we are working on behalf of clients throughout Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire and North Wales, including London and international clients.

Playing an integral role in Knights network of offices in Cheltenham, Colchester, Hale, Derby, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Oxford, the Chester office has grown from strength to strength since opening on Cuppin Street in October 2013.

“Handling complex cases, which require a number of dedicated partners working together, is something that we specialise in thanks to our network of 300 professionals across seven offices,” Sally added.
