A ROADSHOW is taking place this month with the aim of helping people find work who are unemployed or recent graduates or students.

Organised by Cheshire West and Chester Council, it is being held on Wednesday, September 26, between 10am and 3pm, at the ERDF-funded Riverside Innovation Centre (RIC), based at the University of Chester campus in Castle Drive, Chester.

Taking part will be council skills staff, JobCentre Plus, the University of Chester, colleges and voluntary organisations.

Cllr Herbert Manley, executive member for prosperity, said: “Job seekers will find the event extremely useful because it will offer a range of skills.

“Workshops will include CV writing, how to improve interview skills, confidence building and we are hoping there will be a range of employment opportunities from businesses attending the event.”

Paul Kirkbright, director of the RIC, said: “The university is proud to be working in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council and Job Centre Plus to host this recruitment fair.

“We are delighted to support an event which offers both opportunities for employment and workshops designed to enhance the employability of those in attendance.”
