THERE has been job success for two learners attending a care sector pre-employment course held at the Northgate Arena in Chester.

All 13 participants achieved Level 1 ‘Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care’ as well as accessing a range of practical activities aimed at giving them experience of what it may be like to work in the sector.

Two learners, Tricia Fortune from Ellesmere Port and Anne Oxley from Barrow, near Chester, have already secured job offers and all have been guaranteed interviews by Jane Lewis Care. Home Instead Chester has also said it will interview any applicants from the course.

Learners had access to a range of other job opportunities, including personal assistant roles through Cheshire Centre for Independent Living.
