The Under 11s girls football team at Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School were medal winners in the Northern Counties seven-a-side football tournament.
The youngsters came away from the Believe in your Dreams Danone Nations football cup with a bronze medal.
Coaches Colin Longworth and Erica Cowley said: “We are proud to be coaches of such a talented group of players.
“To be ranked third nationally in the North of England at this age group is a remarkable achievement.
“The players are a real credit and will remember this day forever.”
