Bishop Heber High School recently witnessed two full length evening performances from talented musicians, dramatists and dancers as part of the Performing Arts Concerts 2014.

Ensembles in all disciplines combined with solo performers to play in front of packed audiences in the school hall on both nights. Many audience members commented on the high standards achieved by the students and it was particularly pleasing to see many students on the stage for the first time.

The school congratulated all of the performers, technicians and staff facilitators for representing themselves and the school so professionally.

Year 10 music group;

Year 7 vocal group;

KS3 drama club: Aphra Smith, Becky Ball, Abbie Jones; concert orchestra: Jade Evans, Hannah Rose, Georgie Grace, Katie Jones;

Year 7 drama group: Katie Rodge, Ben Murray;

Year 7 dancers choreographed by Sophie Moore;

Year 9 dancers: Mim Emmas, Issy Foden;

Year 10 BTEC dancers: Poppy Hall, Fran Smith, Vicki Saynor, Lizzie Edwards, Danielle O’Meara, Poppy Allen, Anya Champaniera;

Year 10 drama group: Juliet Heaton, Helena Heaton, Flora O’Neill;

KS4&5 dancers: Annabelle Cole, Gemma West, Kenny Price, Ellen Martin, Katie Williams, Abi Bennett, Michelle Curran, Jodie Coffin, Charley Chewins, Lily Dawkes.

The Performing Arts Department are looking forward to seeing a full audience in November for the whole school production of 'We Will Rock You!'
