Cheshire chartered accountancy firm Afford Bond has opened a Chester office in a move which further expands the company.

Afford Bond is a practice with a core focus on accounts, audit, taxation and corporate finance.

Director Jonathan Curwen said: “We already represent a considerable number of clients in the region, and the opening of our Chester branch will not only enable us to continue to service and support them, but also to reinforce our commitment to working alongside the Chester business community as a whole.

“We are one of the most established full service accountancy practices in Cheshire with a focus on quality through partner-led delivery”.

In addition to the Chester office, Afford Bond has also appointed a further director, Lindsay Beeston, who has been based at the Nantwich office since 1996. Lindsay said: “Our work is all about establishing long-term relationships and professional integrity, and these things are at the very heart of Afford Bond’s business.”

'Delighted to be appointed'

Specialising in the agricultural accountancy arena, Lindsay Beeston achieved his ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) during his initial training period.

In recent years, Lindsay has built a team dedicated to working alongside many of Afford Bond’s agricultural clients with specialist knowledge of the complex tax and family issues affecting landed estates and rural businesses.

Lindsay’s appointment brings the number of Afford Bond directors to nine.

“I am delighted to be appointed as a director,” added Lindsay. “We work closely as a team at Afford Bond, we each have our individual strengths, and this step will cement our position as the region’s premier advisers and provides an excellent platform to further enhance our client offering.”
