LOCAL law firm Walker Smith Way started the Christmas break in style this year with a 'Round the World' themed event at luxury Chester hotel, Doubletree by Hilton Chester.

Clare Bebb, sales and marketing manager at Doubletree Chester says: "The Walker Smith Way Christmas party was a great event and we're thrilled that they had such a fantastic time.

"It's lovely to get support from local businesses, especially at this time of year. We've hosted many Christmas parties for local businesses and look forward to even more next year."

Ninety three team members from the firms Chester and Wrexham offices were greeted to a red carpet welcome followed by an evening of fine food and festive fun.

Everyone made a real effort and there were some fantastic costumes. The Wills, Trusts and

Probate department dressed up as 'Miss World' so each member of staff was a different country.

One of the highlights of the evening was the prize giving for the best dressed member of staff. The best dressed female was won by Rachael Wynn Jones, a Partner in the Divorce and Family Law department who was dressed up as a welsh dragon, and the best dressed male was Richard Thomas a Partner in the Crime and Defence department who was dressed up as Toulouse-Lautrec.

Elen Rowlands, marketing manager of Walker Smith Way says: "The venue was excellent; it is very convenient for both offices and great value for money.

"Everyone had an excellent time which was helped of course with the fancy dress; staff at Doubletree Chester were very helpful with the preparations in advance and provided a great service on the night. We will definitely be considering going back there next year!"
