Budget airline Ryanair has slashed the price of seats to as little as £2 on flights throughout November.

The '£2 Hot to Handle' offer applies to flights departing John Lennon Airport on selected Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the month.

A number of destinations are available in the offer, including sunny spots Barcelona and Ibiza or Ireland favourites Dublin and Cork.

Also included are Bergerac in France and Knock in Ireland – all great places to check out an alternative Christmas market this year.

If you fancied going to Barcelona for the week it could cost you just £3.78, which is cheaper than a trip by rail from Chester to Liverpool.

So where would you prefer to be this winter?

Taking the trip up the M62 to Manchester Airport could get you £2 flights to even more locations, including city breaks in Hamburg, Brussels or Madrid.

It is expected to be a popular offer on the airlines site, with all seats likely to sell out – so be quick if you want a last minute break away during the Christmas madness.
