This week we are looking back at what Chester was like in days gone by with these great pictures.

Chester History & Heritage Centre have kindly provided us with images from the 1960s, 70s and 80s of forgotten eatery from the sixties, The Tick Tock restaurant on Lower Bridge Street, and clothing shop Phyllis of Chester.

Another familiar sight is the recently condemned BHS on Foregate Street, as it used to look in the 1970s. And does this picture of people enjoying a summer evening down at The Groves bring back any memories?
