With Valentine’s Day less than a month away, Chester’s History and Heritage Museum are celebrating the city’s vintage weddings with a fascinating foyer display of joyful days gone by.

From weddings in the cathedral in the 1920s to a 1970s register office ceremony, you can take a look back at the dresses, bridesmaids and proud families involved in the hundreds of special days in previous years.

Running now until March 28, the Band of Gold exhibition will coincide with Vintage Weddings – a joint event on 28 March with activities, a bouquet workshop and wedding cakes from 11am -4pm.
