THE search is on to find the area’s cutest child.

The competition is split into four age groups: 0-9 months, 10–18 months, 19-36 months, and 3-5 years.
It’s free to enter - all you need to do is take your youngster along to one of our professional photography shoots from Monday, May 7 until Sunday, May 19.

Tuesday, May 7-Friday, May 10 - Tesco at Broughton.
Saturday, May 11-Monday, May 13 - Asda at Queensferry.
Tuesday, May 14-Friday, May 17 - Asda at Crewe
Saturday, May 18-Sunday, May 19 - Asda at Ellesmere Port.
Photography sessions run 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am-4pm Sunday.
Alex Lewis, community champion at Tesco store in Broughton, is looking forward to welcoming parents and children on the first of the photography sessions.
All photographs will be printed in The Chester Chronicle, Flintshire Chronicle, Crewe Chronicle, and Ellesmere Port Pioneer, and our readers will then get chance to vote for their favourite via a voting form run in paper.
Our Baby of the Year winner will receive a 20 x 16 canvas print worth more than £100 courtesy of our photographer.
They will also receive a package provided by Water Babies to include a 10 week course, baby wetsuit, waterproof nappy and an underwater photo shoot with three digital prints.
Four runners up, the babies with the highest number of votes for their age category will receive a 10 x 8 framed print worth £65 provided by our photographer, and a 10 week course, baby wet suit and waterproof nappy provided by Water Babies.
Teaching water confidence and safety techniques from birth, the multi-award winning Water Babies programme is designed to make the most of babies’ natural affinity with water.
