Running my own successful business means I have to be super organised.

I have a weekly success planner that outlines tasks to be done each day so everything is completed and progressed. Days have to run like clockwork with a busy skin and beauty clinic and an active six-year-old who plays rugby, swims and goes to Beavers.

Running The Fabulous You Skin and Beauty Clinic involves constantly marketing, running accounts and researching so we can always provide our clients with the best and most up to date products and treatments available. All our products really work and smell and feel luxurious too.

A typical day for me would be the school run followed by a metabolic madness class in Tiverton. I then walk my dachsund Jack Russell cross Toppo. He loves going to Little Switzerland, Primrose Woods and the beach near Conway.

I then speak to Naomi , who deals with our online marketing, and Mary Jane at Greenhalgh PR. Then there is Twitter, Facebook and placing clinic product orders. My favourite bit is seeing clients and performing treatments that we tailor specifically for them depending on what they need that day.

We offer lots of different therapies using luxurious active ingredients including IPL treatment for problem hair, thread veins or pigmentation and a Signature Peel radiance boost using vitamin C Glycolic mix – which is like a lovely big smoothie for your skin.

We then write up client notes and action plans, recommend products and services before preparing for the following day.

Then it is home for supper, a bedtime story, preparations for school or after-school activities, check more emails, submit my own actions to my business coach, check social media and get myself ready for the next day.

Dress:

Smart casual. I am a classic dresser – jeans shirt and boots, black dress and I wear a white uniform for work.

What is the favourite part of your job?

Making a difference and seeing my clients grow in confidence. We have reached the finals of the Professional Beauty Awards 2014, run by Professional Beauty magazine, and Emma and I are really excited to be going to the black tie awards dinner at The Brewery in London on February 22.

What is the least favourite part of your job?

Administration, IT and accounts.

What would your dream job be if you weren’t doing what you do now?

Something in the medical field.

How do you relax when you are not working?

I enjoy yoga, exercise, cooking, family, good friends, food and wine.

What is your favourite film?

The Shawshank Redemption (because hope and decency prevail), The Wizard of Oz (magical land Christmas) and Breakfast at Tiffany’s (I am a hopeless romantic who adores everything about Audrey Hepburn).

What is your favourite book?

I am a bit of a geek so The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, The Wrinkle Cure: Unlock the Power of Cosmeceuticals for Supple, Youthful Skin by Dr Nicholas Perricone. In fact, anything about skin or personal development.

What is your favourite song?

Dusty Springfield’s Son of a Preacher Man.

If a film was made of your life, who would you like to play you?

Audrey Hepburn. She is full of grace, sincerity and class.

Have you had your 15 minutes of fame?

No but having my baby boy was one of the happiest and proudest moments of my life.
