The former Cheshire mansion house that was once owned by Take That star Gary Barlow will open in May as one of the county’s newest wedding venues.

Delamere Manor, in Cuddington, is likely to attract fans from all over the world eager to tie the knot in the same place where their heartthrob once lived and breathed.

The manor house is now owned by businesswoman Michelle Stubbs, who bought it off the Frodsham singing star, after he whisked her off to see Take That in concert to seal the deal.

And the stars turned out for a VIP night last Thursday evening to see the mansion house all dressed up for weddings, which can take place at a number of locations across the sprawling 100-acre estate, including in the manor ballroom, its own nightclub and in teepees set up in the leafy grounds.

Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook joined model Charlotte Dawson, Big Brother star Mark Byron and ex-WG Jude Cissé at the launch ahead of an open weekend for prospective brides.

And in keeping with the theme a host of models dressing in stunning Mark Melia bridal gowns strutted their stuff through the house.

Cars from Chester-based Cheshire Luxury Cars ferried guests around the grounds to view the Big Chief Tipis, the Pump House, another wedding venue, and the lake.

Blonde actress Danniella was suitably impressed by the venue - and even said it would be the perfect venue for her next wedding - which she says will definitely be to a ‘northern man.

Owner Michelle said she said she’s had the thumbs up from Gary and his family - including his brother Ian who still lives close by in the area - for the wedding business.

Michelle says: “I love a good party, and it was after holding events for family and friends at the manor that people started to ask me if they could have their wedding here. It got to the point where I was getting five enquiries a day for weddings so it seemed the right time to properly launch this as a business.”

Michelle has launched the wedding and event venue alongside events expert Joanne Penney, and the launch bash was organised in association with Paul Knowles of PK PR.

The manor is able to cater for parties from 50 to 500 guests, and for wedding the whole house can be booked out by guests who can stay in six master bedrooms.
