The Chronicle has teamed up with Crewe Lyceum to offer our readers the chance to win family passes to a string of big theatre blockbusters.

The summer family pass will give you tickets to see The Tiger Who Came To Tea on Friday-Sunday, August 7-9 and Sing-a-long-a Frozen on Friday, August 14, and Only One Direction on Friday, August 21, 6pm.

The summer holidays are packed full of fun for all ages with shows that will have all ages up and dancing in the aisles.

Family activities begin with the Family Open Day on Saturday, August 1 filled with lots of exciting things to do.

This free family event throws open the doors to the theatre between 10am-4pm with bookable behind-the-scenes tours happening all day, free technical displays showing off some theatre magic, a drop-in by storm troopers, activities like face painting and a mini petting zoo, there’s a full day out to enjoy with the entire family.

This is followed by the smash adaptation of Judith Kerr’s classic children’s book The Tiger Who Came to Tea from August 7–9.

Tickets are flying fast for the magical adaptation of Kerr’s beloved picture book. The doorbell rings as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down for tea, who could it be? They certainly don’t expect a big stripy tiger!

Following a smash-hit West End season, the tea-guzzling tiger is on the road with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos for ages three-and-up. This stunning stage adaptation of teatime mayhem will surprise and delight.

Sing-a-long-a Frozen returns on Friday, August 14, with sing-a-long fun for all ages after previous sold-out dates. Expect more sing-a-long, dress up, Disney princess fun celebrating the phenomenon that is Elsa, Anna and Olaf.

Families can experience a screening of the film with a live host leading the audience in fun games, interactive moments and of course – sing-a-longs with all the infamous hits.

The fun is suitable for all ages – from the singing and the giggles all the way to the dress-up contest.

Free with tickets to the show is the Frozen Party Day in the theatre from 10am-6pm featuring face painting, a bouncy castle and appearances by ice princess Elsa.

A week later, tweens and teens can go ‘crazy crazy crazy’ with a top tribute to One Direction as Only One Direction take to the stage on Friday, August 21.

It’s a chart-topping night out with the UK’s top tribute to all five boys of One Direction.

One Directioners can get their Harry, Liam, Niall, Louis and Zayn fix in this electrifying family-friendly pop concert that’s guaranteed to keep the audience ‘Up All Night’ with giveaways, meet and greets and songs from all four One Direction albums.

“There’s a packed programme of events that are sure to keep everyone entertained,” marketing manager Gemma Whalley said. “With the range of boredom-busters on for everyone to enjoy at the Lyceum families are sure to have a fantastic summer.”

The Family Activity Day is free to attend with activities available from 10am-4pm.
