Two paramedics and a car driver have been taken to hospital after an emergency ambulance was involved in a collision at a major traffic light junction on the outskirts of Chester.

The crash happened at the junction of the A41 and the A51 Tarvin Road, near Vicars Cross, about 3.10pm this afternoon (Monday, March 21).

Pictures sent to The Chronicle show an ambulance having collided with metal railings and a small white car also involved in the incident. The air bags appear to have gone off in the ambulance.
