The family and friends of a Blacon mum who passed away from cancer in March will take part in the York 10k run this Sunday in her honour.
The race held a special significance for Kyla, who was 32 when she died, as it was the first 10k she completed.
Kyla’s brother-in-law Jason Marshall said: “We’re doing it because we wanted to thank the hospice for its great work. We chose to do the York 10k because it was the first run she did and she managed to get round without stopping.
“It’s a nice course and we’re looking forward to going back there.”
