A KEEN cyclist from Ellesmere Port is fundraising for mental health charity Mind in a bid to increase awareness of the illness.

Teresa Farrelly took part in the 80km Macmillan Cheshire Cycletta challenge at Tatton Park on Sunday, September 28.

Cycletta is one of the main women-only bike rides in the UK and is supported by Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton.

Teresa said: “My main reason for doing it is the taboo with depression and mental health.

“It has affected me and others around me and after what happened to actor Robin Williams recently, it seemed a good cause.”

Theresa is hoping to raise £300 for the charity.
