Staff from the gap personnel group came together to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Trust by wearing their pyjamas to work, selling cakes and taking part in the Mannequin Challenge.
They raised more than £2,600 with an additional £400+ being spent by staff who purchased the #GetYourStripes pyjamas directly from Matalan.
Alder Hey was chosen as the charity of choice as they have been pivotal in their care for Cameron Rowley from Ellesmere Port, son of one their Driving Force employees Brenden Rowley.
Cameron, eight, is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer.
Brenden said: “I would just like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart that has donated to such a worthwhile cause. Alder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds to make Alder Hey a truly world class, patient-friendly hospital – making a crucial difference to the 270,000 patients and families who visit every year.
“What an amazing company I work for and thank you for the messages of support – my family truly appreciate all the well wishes.”
