Sustainable Blacon will hold convention to showcase its eco-solutions

THE SUSTAINABLE Blacon team will be holding a convention to showcase its eco-solutions to other communities.

The Blacon community has continued to find practical ways of addressing day-to-day issues and combating environmental problems.

The convention, which will be held on November 1, from 9am-5pm, in the University of Chester’s Best Building, will show what solutions have been found so far and enable the public to find inspiration and practical support to make their communities more resilient, cohesive and sustainable.

You should attend if you:

Want to find out about the latest results from national research programmes in community-based sustainability, including DECC’s Low Carbon Communities Challenge Programme in Blacon.

Talk to and network with leading residents, practitioners and policy-makers.

Find practical ways to combat climate change and build community capital.

Find out how public, private and third sector organisations can work together successfully with local communities to achieve a wide range of long-lasting improvements.

Reflect on where your thinking and plans are up to.
