Change to bulky waste collection

NEW arrangements for bulky waste collections now apply across the whole of Cheshire West and Chester, rather than three different ones. A charge will be made for all bulky waste collections and this charge will be based on a ‘per unit’ basis. The charge per unit is £15 and £10 for those on pensions or benefits.

Bulky waste includes items such as chairs and tables; beds and mattresses; three piece suites; carpets and underlay; large household appliances; and bedroom furniture.

There are other ways you can dispose of bulky waste in an environmentally friendly way.

There are a number of charities which promote furniture reuse in the borough which collect good quality furniture and household goods.

Many major retailers also run take back and collection schemes when you buy household goods from them.
